ONTARIO, Calif. – As a result of COVID-19 contact tracing protocols within the Santa Clara men’s basketball group, the non-conference game between New Mexico State and Santa Clara originally scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday has been canceled.
The Broncos will be pausing all men’s basketball activities due to its most recent COVID-19 test results it was announced late Wednesday.
The 2-1 Aggies’ next scheduled game, as a result, is Friday, Jan. 8, when the three-time defending WAC champions head to St. George, Utah, for their league opener at Dixie State. NMSU says it hopes it can schedule other non-conference games between now and then.
The Aggies are training in the Phoenix area since the public health order in New Mexico prohibits full-team play and practice.
