Carrington College launches LPN program

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Carrington College in Albuquerque is now enrolling students in its new practical nursing program, according to a spokesman.

“The practical nursing certificate can be completed in as few as 12 months, preparing students for the NCLEX-PN exam and an entry-level career as an LPN,” spokesman Ryan Smith said in a news release.

Smith said enrolled students will learn about direct patient care, treatments and other nursing skills with hands-on clinical training.

The program will enroll cohorts of up to 24 students.

Tuition and fees for the program in New Mexico run just under $30,000, according to Carrington’s website.

The for-profit college has an existing registered nurse program.
