Firefighters extinguish house fire in SE ABQ

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Fire crews put out a blaze at a home in Southeast Albuquerque on Saturday night.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue Lt. Tim Smith said nobody was injured in the blaze.

He said firefighters responded around 8:25 p.m. to a fire at a single story home in the 2200 block of Arno SE, near Gibson and Broadway.

Smith said AFR found black smoke pouring from the home and extinguished the fire “within ten minutes.” He said the flames were contained to one room and two people were displaced.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time,” Smith said.
