Jessie Roane had five hits and five RBIs— including two home runs — in the victory for the Rams, who also throttled Valencia 20-2 in the semifinals.
Jordan Manno had four hits, four runs and three RBIs in the semis for the Rams. Roane also had four hits, and drove in seven runs with a home run and three doubles. Manno also homered.
Roane, Victoria Lopez, Manno and BreOnna Castañeda were all-tournament for Rio Rancho.
On Wednesday, Rio Rancho lost 19-16 to La Cueva, which had a pair of eight-run innings in the win.
Venessa Gallegos had three hits, including a home run, triple and double, and drove in seven for Rio Rancho in a losing cause. Roane added three hits and four runs.
FRIDAY: In what could be a potential state tournament matchup, Carlsbad and Cibola split a doubleheader Friday on the West Side. Carlsbad dominated the opener, winning 9-3 and snapping the Cougars’ 10-game winning streak.
Cibola took the second game 10-3, scoring all its runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
Brittany Baca had three hits, including a double and home run, to lead Cibola (13-3) in the nightcap. Jasmine Mitchell had three hits, including a pair of triples.
Also Friday, Cleveland outscored Manzano 12-6. The Storm scored five runs in its first at-bat en route to the victory. Ariel Ortega drove in a pair of runs for Cleveland, and Katie Ripple had three RBIs.
THURSDAY: Cleveland blanked Clovis 12-0, and Valley outlasted Eldorado 4-3 in eight innings.
Kacie Swihart had three hits and three RBIs for the Storm (10-6) in its victory.
Victoria Ramirez had the game-winning RBI for the Vikings (6-7).
WEDNESDAY: Bernalillo won its District 2-4A opener, 4-2 over Los Alamos. Lois Delara drove in a pair of runs for the Spartans.
TUESDAY: Volcano Vista’s Jade Grey had three hits and four RBIs in a 16-1 rout of Sandia. Celina Sullivan had a home run and three RBIs for the Hawks, and Victoria Castro also homered for Volcano (9-5).
St. Pius doubled up Manzano 14-7. Vanessa Garcia went 4-for-4 with four runs and four doubles for the Sartans, and Katie Johnson and Julia Eckert each drove in a pair of runs.

THURSDAY: Bosque’s girls won 6-3 over Robertson as the Bobcats swept the three doubles matches. … The Bosque boys edged the Cardinals 5-4.
WEDNESDAY: Valley’s boys downed Atrisco Heritage 6-3 in a District 5-5A opener. … Volcano Vista’s girls defeated Sandia 7-2. … The Matadors’ boys blanked the Hawks 9-0.
