Readers share favorite dining spots

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — We really enjoy a little spot called Rocka Taco on Harvard just south of Central. The tacos are freshly made, without that greasy tortilla you find at most places. The flavors come across as very tasty, light and even healthy.

I love the slow-cooked beef with the green chile-tomatillo salsa, as well as the pork carnitas with pineapple salsa.

The grilled vegetable tacos are my husband’s favorite. Rice and beans compliment the plate. We both highly recommend Rocka Taco. We have had several delicious meals there.

Well my faves as of late are: Plum Cafe’s curry bowl; Carnitas Taco and a beer from Rocka Taco (new in the Brick Light District across from the University of New Mexico); Pork Sandwich at Viet Q; Philly Steak Sandwich at Yeller Sub with homemade chips; and the Albuquerque Turkey & Shrimp Nachos at Gold Street Caffe. I’m getting hungry just writing this.
