ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — More than 25 Albuquerque restaurants, wineries and breweries will be dishing out samples during the inaugural Taste of ABQ event on Saturday, May 18, at ABQ Uptown.
Participants come from across the food and drink spectrum with specialties that range from cupcakes and coffee to pizza and beer.
Sampling the selection requires buying a wristband. On the day of the event a 10-taste band runs $20, while a pair sell for $35.
Bands purchased in advance through Simon Guest Services at Cottonwood Mall run $30 for two.
Taste of ABQ also features live music from The DCN Project, plus free children’s activities.
The food festival participants include: Bravo! Cucina Italiana, Cake Fetish, California Pizza Kitchen, CoolWater Fusion, El Pinto Cantina, Elephant Bar & Grill, Forque at the Hyatt, Gruet Winery, Hartford Square, Il Vicino Brewery, Jojo’s Salsa Machine, Joliesse Chocolates, JR’s BBQ, Marcello’s Chophouse, Matheson Winery, Nexus Brewery, Nob Hill Bar & Grill, Om Fine Indian Dining, Pizza 9, Sheraton Uptown, Starbucks, Street Food Asia, The Melting Pot, Van Rixel Bros. Gelato, Vernon’s Steakhouse, and Villa Myriam Specialty Coffee.
The restaurant with the most taste tabs at event’s end will win a Simon gift card donation for its partner charity.
