It has burned about 10 acres on tribal land, and crews are mopping up the fire area tonight.

A State Forestry spokesman said there likely won’t be more updates about the fire Tuesday.

Crews are responding to a fire southwest of Cuba, about 10 miles from the Torreon Chapter House, state fire officials are reporting.

The Tinnian Fire, about 8 acres, is burning through pinon and juniper. No structures are threatened. Officials say the fire is believed to have been started by lightning.
