ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The bear hunt has now moved toward the foothills, Journal photographer Adolphe Pierre-Louis is on the scene about 8 a.m. KOAT-TV has video of the bear near Holbrook and Corona Drive NE. The bear chase has reportedly been called off after the animal headed back toward the Sandia wilderness, our photographer said early Thursday.

Albuquerque Police Department officers have a bear, earlier seen on Paseo del Norte, cornered near La Cueva High School in Northeast Albuquerque, KOB-TV is reporting.
