ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Las Cruces officers arrest Picacho Middle School student outside Mayfield High last week.
A Las Cruces middle school student was arrested last Thursday after allegedly ditching school to sell pot at Mayfield High School, the Las Cruces Sun-News reported.
The Picacho Middle School student, who was not identified in a police report, was arrested outside the high school around 1:30 p.m. Thursday after a city police detective in an unmarked vehicle observed the student make a drug transaction outside Mayfield, the Sun-News reported.
Officers said they recovered 3.2 ounces of marijuana from the student, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance and distribution of a controlled substance, the paper said.
A second person, who was with the middle-schooler, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, the Sun-News reported.
