Updated at 7:30am — Traffic Moving Again at I-25 and Paseo

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Westbound lanes reopened following early-morning collision involving police car.

Traffic is moving again in both directions on Paseo del Norte at Interstate 25, according to 770 KKOB Radio's traffic reporter, Helen Wheels.


Breaking at 6:39am — Westbound Paseo Shut at I-25: Traffic backing up after early-morning accident; eastbound lanes not affected.

An accident reportedly involving a police car has caused the closure of all westbound lanes of Paseo del Norte at Interstate 25, KOB-TV is reporting.

Eastbound lanes of Paseo are not affected, but westbound commuter traffic is backing up, according to Eyewitness News 4.

Police told KOB-TV that the accident occurred when a police car was pursuing a motorcyclists and struck a pickup truck, which then rolled over. 

Minor injuries were reported, but it was unclear who was injured.

Police are still looking for the motorcyclists, who got away following the accident.
