6:15am — What Was That Light?

KRQE News 13 identifies that UFO that streaked north of ABQ last night as a meteor.

An object that appeared to be a larger-than-normal meteor that streaked across the sky north of Albuquerque was spotted from Rio Rancho to Los Lunas around 7:30 p.m., KRQE News 13 reported.

The large bright light was red-yellow in color, according to KRQE.

Most meteors are about the size of a pebble, News 13's chief meteorologist Mark Ronchetti said, adding, "This one was bigger."

We'll stay tuned for any official reports of the object's trajectory and estimated size.
