ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A man is dead and another is in the hospital after a shooting Tuesday night at a park in Southwest Albuquerque. The shooting marks the sixth person killed across the city in as many days and the thirteenth this month.

Daren DeAguero, an Albuquerque police spokesman, said he did not know the injured man’s condition or if he is expected to survive.

He said police responded around 4:30 p.m. to a shooting at Tower Park, near Tower and Unser SW, and found one man fatally injured. DeAguero said another man was taken to the hospital.

He said homicide detectives are investigating and Tower Park is closed.
