ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Two women were killed and a man was injured in a shooting Wednesday night at a Northeast Albuquerque apartment complex.
Tanner Tixier, an Albuquerque police spokesman, said police have nobody in custody and no details to release on the shooter.
He said officers responded around 10 p.m. to a shooting with “multiple victims” at the Jefferson Crossing Apartments, near Montgomery and Washington NE.
Tixier said two women died at the scene and a man was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
“This is a very large and active scene,” he said. “We have numerous officers and detectives on site.”
Tixier gave no other details.
The incident marks the eighth person killed — and second double homicide — over the past week across the city. So far, 15 people have been slain this month, five of them women.
