State awards $1.77M in February JTIP grants

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico Economic Development approved grants to train 232 workers at 11 firms through the Job Training Incentive Program in February.

The February JTIP grants total $1.77 million. Companies receiving more than $100,000 in grants include:

– Saputo Cheese USA, which received $668,735 to support 150 trainees in Las Cruces with an average wage of $16.81 per hour.

– Twistle, which received $398,171 to support 18 trainees in Albuquerque with an average wage of $40.33.

– Nature’s Toolbox, which received $338,680 to support 14 trainees in Santa Fe with an average wage of $44.

– IDEAS Engineering & Technology, which received $102,955 to support six trainees and two interns in Albuquerque. The average intern salary is $17.25. The average trainee salary is $28.58.
