SUGAR LAND, Texas — CVR Energy Inc. (CVI) on Monday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $67 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Sugar Land, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 67 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $1.18 per share.
The diversified holding company posted revenue of $1.12 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $256 million, or $2.54 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $3.93 billion.
CVR shares have increased 64% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $24.50, a fall of 30% in the last 12 months.
