ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce is distributing personal protective equipment boxes to registered small businesses Friday, according to the organization.
During the event, small businesses will receive boxes with hand sanitizer, medical masks, cloth masks, disinfectant spray and some will receive thermometers and acrylic dividers, according to chamber spokeswoman Angelique Baca.
“We are thrilled to give back to our community and support small businesses as we work to re-open together, safely,” Ernie C’de Baca, president and CEO of the Hispano Chamber, said in a press release announcing the event.
The event will also feature a Girl Scouts cookie booth, electronic recycling drop-off, a beWellnm station and other vendors offering coupons and samples, Baca said.
To participate, businesses must have less than 50 employees, be located inside of Bernalillo County and Albuquerque city limits, provide required information and register online in advance.
The “Small Business Community Day” drive-thru event will be held at 1309 4th SW from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
