Meow Wolf is back.

After being closed for a year due to the pandemic, the Santa Fe-based arts collective will open its doors to the public on March 19.

According to Meow Wolf, the “House of Eternal Return” will operate at 25% capacity Friday through Monday.

Meow Wolf is gearing up to celebrate its fifth anniversary this year and events are being planned in the coming months.

Since its closure last March, artists have been busy upgrading the space with new installations from guest artists Corinne Loperfido, Paolo Puck and Obsidiopolis.

Visitors returning to Meow Wolf will also be introduced to more digital content through a Narrative app.

“Instead of flipping through a physical newspaper or book for clues, visitors can use their mobile phone for a non-touch experience,” Meow Wolf said.

It has also redesigned and reimagined “touch,” as some experiences were previously centered around tactile exploration.

Art pieces that were “high touch” areas have been modified to be “no touch” or “low touch.”

An example is the iconic dryer portal, which is temporarily closed to physically crawl through, but visitors will still be able to take the perfect Instagram shot.

All visitors will be required to wear a face mask, undergo a temperature check and practice social distancing. Rigorous sanitation is planned for the space.

Meow Wolf has worked with the state to be able to reopen safely.

“The state has reviewed Meow Wolf’s health protocols and is satisfied with the important efforts they have made to safeguard the health and welfare of visitors,” Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham said. “I’m personally very excited to have places like Meow Wolf back open. It’s been a long year. It’s been an impossibly difficult year. But I think we can all feel good about our progress – and artistic and cultural destinations like Meow Wolf are incredibly important as we begin to heal and recover all together from this heinous pandemic.”

Meow Wolf recently opened “Omega Mart” in Las Vegas, Nevada, with similar health protocols. Tickets can be purchased at meow.wf/tix.
