ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Lobo fans attending today’s third-round NCAA Tournament games at the Pit will be able to watch at least some of New Mexico’s televised game on the arena’s two video boards.
The New Mexico-Louisville game in Portland, Ore. — scheduled to begin at approximately 7:40 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time — will be shown on the screens at the conclusion of the Pit’s live game between Baylor-Colorado, according to Greg Remington, UNM’s tournament director for the NCAA games.
Since Baylor-Colorado is slated to tip off roughly an hour before the Lobos, fans should be able to catch the second half of the UNM game on the big screens.
But those hoping to see the first half might have to scramble.
Remington said select TVs around the venue will broadcast the entire Lobos game, but he couldn’t specify which ones. And should crowds gathering around those TVs become too large and impede traffic flow, Remington said they may eventually be turned off for safety reasons.
