New Mexico reported 183 new COVID-19 cases Sunday and 12 more deaths, including a Bernalillo County woman in her 30s with no underlying health conditions.
Of the new cases, 54 were in Bernalillo County. New Mexico has averaged 256 new cases per day during the past week, according to a Journal analysis.
The 12 people whose deaths were reported Sunday were five women and seven men. The deceased ranged in age from the woman in her 30s to four adults in their 80s, two from Bernalillo County and two from San Juan County.
The state has had 3,808 deaths due to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, according to a Department of Health news release.
New Mexico has reported 186,922 COVID-19 cases, 156,554 of which the Health Department has designated as having recovered.
On Sunday, 169 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 across the state.
