ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Chris Williams, coach of the New Mexico Stars of the Indoor Football League, was added to the West Texas Roughnecks’ Wall of Fame on Saturday.
Williams coached the Odessa-based Roughnecks to a 70-44 record from 2004-2011 and helped them to the playoffs in seven of eight years.
In 2006, his squad won the league title. This season the Roughnecks left the IFL to play in the Lone Star Football League.
STILL ROLLING: The Sioux Falls Storm, the IFL’s highest-scoring team, ran its record to 13-0 with a 69-26 victory over the Colorado Ice on Saturday night.
The Storm closes its regular season next week against Omaha.
Sioux Falls has scored at least 66 points in 10 of its games. By comparison, the team next on the scoring list is Green Bay, averaging only 55 a game.
