New Mexico recorded 191 new cases of COVID-19 and seven additional deaths from the virus on Saturday.
The update pushed the rolling seven-day averages down to 199 cases and six deaths a day as case totals and deaths declined toward pre-surge numbers.
At this time last month, the averages were 312 cases and 13 deaths a day.
Of the seven deaths reported Saturday, two were from Bernalillo County, and all but two had underlying health conditions. The deceased ranged in age from their 50s to their 90s.
The majority of new cases were in Bernalillo County, which had 71, Doña Ana County, with 35, and Sandoval County, with 14.
The state has seen 189,560 cases of COVID-19 and 3,889 deaths from the virus thus far.
There are currently 130 people hospitalized in New Mexico with the virus.
As of Saturday, 171,593 virus cases have been designated as having recovered by the New Mexico Department of Health.
