ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque Isotopes placed Standing Room Only tickets on sale for Wednesday’s July 4 game. Standing Room tickets will be $9 and sold exclusively at the Isotopes Park Box Office.
The announcement indicates it is shaping up to be one of the largest crowds in Isotopes history. The all-time record of 16,059 was set last July 4. Only 10 times in franchise history have the Isotopes sold standing-room tickets, which means they’ve sold all others — including 3,500 for the berm, at which point they cut off berm sales.
Standing Room at Isotopes Park consists of the picnic pavilion after 6:30 p.m. and along the concourse in designated spots behind the yellow lines. The Isotopes Park Box Office is open Tuesday until 5 p.m. and reopens on Wednesday at 10 a.m. to accommodate demand.
In addition to a showdown between the ‘Topes and their arch-rivals Round Rock at 6:05 p.m., fans will be treated to the biggest and best post-game fireworks show of the year, which they will be able to enjoy from the field. Festivities will also include a pre-game concert by classic rock cover band Stratus Phear in the Captain’s Corner from 4:45-5:30 p.m.. Gates will open at 4 p.m.
