Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel is reopening its doors at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 1.

The casino on Santa Ana Pueblo will operate from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. Sunday through Saturday at a limited capacity. Guests will be able to play slot machines and table games as well as place their bets at the Sportsbook. Visitors also will be able to dine at Juniper Steakhouse and the Choices Food Court.

“We understand many of our patrons have been frustrated by our closing, but we strongly believe that it is better to err on the side of safety,” CEO John Cirrincione states in a Santa Ana Star Casino news release. “We are excited to get back to business and welcome our guests and team members back to The Star.”

All guests must be age 21 years or older and provide a valid ID. All team members and patrons will have their temperatures taken upon entry and will be required to wear face masks.

“We now feel confident that we have met the difficult challenge of creating a safe business environment while safeguarding the public trust we have worked hard to earn over the last three decades,” Tamaya Enterprises Board of Directors chairwoman Melanie Martinez states in the news release. “Simply put, we want to do the right thing.”

Slot machines and chairs will be routinely disinfected. Players can also request additional cleanings at each slot machine by pressing a service button that will alert a team member to disinfect the machine. Smoking is not permitted throughout the Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel property and is only allowed in a designated outdoor smoking area.

“We are pleased that our staff is nearly fully vaccinated and we will continue a strict adherence to our prevention plan,” Cirrincione states in the news release. “We expect many of the safety restrictions to stay in place until the public health emergency is no longer an issue.”

Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel is located at 54 Jemez Canyon Dam Road on Santa Ana Pueblo. The 75,000 square foot property offers gaming with 1,600 slots and 22 table games, as well as exceptional amenities including restaurants and a 204-room hotel.
