Going once! ABQ-based auction company launches

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque now has a new option for companies and nonprofits looking to auction off items with the launch of Rt66 Auctions, LLC.

The company provides live, online, webcast and self-service auctions, according to a news release announcing the company’s launch.

Owner Gary Peterson said the idea for the new company stemmed from his experience as the founder of the charity auto auction company One Community Auto, LLC.

“The move to online for much of our information and many of our purchases during COVID has created an opportunity to continue the popularity of purchasing almost everything online,” the release said.

Unlike One Community Auto, Rt66 Auctions will be open to almost any item including furniture, collectibles and jewelry.
