ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Lobos hoops season-ticket sales are ahead of last year’s pace according to school officials.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the UNM Ticket Office had sold 10,701 season tickets for men’s basketball, according to Mark Koson, UNM’s associate athletic director for ticketing. Of those, 651 have been sold since Oct. 3 when new sales opened to anyone who wasn’t a previous season-ticket holder or isn’t a member of the Lobo Club, the athletic department’s booster club.
“We are 215 tickets ahead of last year’s pace,” Koson wrote in an email to the Journal. “We’ll surpass the 2011-12 number.”
Season opener: Davidson at UNM, 11:59 p.m., ESPN, 770 AM
That 2011-12 number was 11,119 season tickets sold for the 15,411-seat Pit.
Season-ticket sales will run through the Lobos’ Nov. 12 regular-season opener against Davidson.
The Lobos play 18 home games this season – 16 regular-season games and two exhibition games. Ticket packages range in price from $268 for adults ($134 for UNM faculty and staff) and $144 for children for bench seating up to $1,875.
Tickets can be purchased at www.unmtickets.com; the UNM Ticket Office Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; or at 505-925-LOBO.
