ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Duran Central Pharmacy can expect some visitors from Nevada next month.
The Nevada Wolf Pack have accepted an invitation to the Dec. 15 Gildan New Mexico Bowl.
“We are excited for this opportunity to represent our university and community in this great event,” said Nevada athletics director Cary Groth, who traveled to Albuquerque with the football team earlier this month and enjoyed her visit to the restaurant at Duran’s.
The 7-4 Wolf Pack are led by Hall of Fame coach Chris Ault and junior running back Stefphon Jefferson, who is second in the country in rushing. Arizona or Arizona State are potential opponents.
Nevada will make its second appearance in the New Mexico Bowl. The Wolf Pack lost to New Mexico 23-0 in 2007. Nevada defeated UNM 31-24 on Nov. 17.
Tickets can be purchased at the UNM ticket office, at www.unmtickets.com, or by calling 925-LOBO or 925-5999.
