Team Locksley Revisited

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — David Reaves, Lobos quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator under Mike Locksley (and George Barlow after Locksley’s in-season firing)  in 2011, has been hired as receivers coach at South Florida.

With Reaves’ hiring, all of Locksley’s 2011 staff except tight ends coach Cheston Blackshear are known to have jobs on college staffs.

Vincent White, assistant head coach and receivers, Fordham (coached running backs at UNM).

Ron Hudson, offensive line, Nevada (recently hired after coaching at Massachusetts last year).

George Barlow, defensive backs and recruiting coordinator, Vanderbilt (defensive backs, defensive coordinator and interim head coach at UNM).

Mike Woodford, defensive backs, Akron.

Rubin Carter, defensive line, Towson (Locksley’s alma mater).

Craig Jefferies, head coach, Oxon Hilll (Md.) High School (coached wide receivers at UNM).

Toby Neinas, defensive backs, Montana State (coached special teams, linebackers and was Barlow’s defensive coordinator at UNM).

There is no information on Blackshear online, other than that he was a “guest coach” with the Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders last season.
