BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Vail Resorts Inc. (MTN) on Monday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $274.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Broomfield, Colorado-based company said it had profit of $6.72.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $6.67 per share.
The ski resort operator posted revenue of $889.1 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $880.8 million.
Vail Resorts expects full-year revenue of $1.9 billion.
Vail Resorts shares have increased 20% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $334.35, a rise of 70% in the last 12 months.
