New Mexico United honored with beer

Ex Novo Brewing Co. is paying homage to its favorite soccer club with a new beer.

Stay Goalden Golden Ale pays tribute to New Mexico United and the community it brings together throughout the state, according to an Ex Novo news release. One dollar of the proceeds from every draft and each four-pack sold at the brewery’s taproom in Corrales as well as every case sold across New Mexico directly benefits the Somos Unidos Foundation and its contributions to the community.

The nonprofit’s mission is to create “positive outcomes” for New Mexicans through art, sport, community and unity. To date it has supported youth soccer development, New Mexico schools, healthcare organizations, artists, restaurant workers and more, according to the foundation’s website.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to show our community club how much we love them,” Ex Novo owner Joel Gregory says in the news release. “Even better, we’re honored to be able to contribute to an organization as incredible as the Somos Unidos Foundation.”

Stay Goalden is a “perfect poolside-drinking, tailgate-sipping, goal-celebrating beer,” according to the news release. The beer is available on draft and in cans at the Corrales taproom located at 4895 Corrales Road. Ex Novo has partnered with Premiere Distributing to bring the golden ale to retailers across the state. Stay Goalden can be found at Jubilation Wine and Spirits, Total Wine & More, Whole Foods and other retailers.

“Our motto is ‘Drink Beer. Do Good,’ and this wonderful opportunity for us to introduce the world to a delicious beer while also helping our community is one we couldn’t pass up,” Gregory says in the news release. “¡Somos Unidos!”
