Isotopes lose at Salt Lake in opener of 12-game road trip

THURSDAY: The Isotopes lost the series opener to the host Bees, 7-4, who had three homers among their 12 hits. Albuquerque had home runs by Rio Ruiz and Brian Serven.

TICKET SALES: The Isotopes announced sales for 12 games covering their first two home stands next month (July 1-6, 15-20) go on sale Tuesday at Isotopes Park, and Ticketmaster. The club has been selling advance tickets in stages to react to any changes in the pandemic-related public health order. The team will continue to sell pod seating for groups of up to six, require masks for non-vaccinated fans and social distancing throughout the venue.

TRANSACTION: When the parent Colorado Rockies activated SS Trevor Story from the injured list on Thursday, IF Alan Trejo was optioned to Albuquerque.

ALSO: The Isotopes’ 9-21 record coming into Thursday was the worst through 30 games in the history of the franchise, which was born in 2003.
