Aaron Pico, an MMA featherweight who trains in Albuquerque at Jackson-Wink, dominated Aiden Lee throughout in defeating the English fighter by third-round submission (anaconda choke) on a Bellator card at Mohegan Sun Arena Friday night in Uncasville, Conn.
Pico improved his record to 8-3 with his fourth straight victory, all by submission or TKO. Lee, of Birmingham, England, is 9-5.
Ranked No. 6 among Bellator featherweights, Pico said afterward that he’s willing to fight anyone in the top ten — including No. 4 Adam Borics, the last man to have defeated him.
“… I’ll fight anybody,” Pico said. “I feel I’m ready physically and mentally.”
