ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A fire scorched antique or classic cars, old boats and other property being collected at a home on Gossett Lane in Corrales on Sunday.

The home on the nearly acre-sized property is OK after fire crews from Corrales, Rio Rancho and Albuquerque, as well as Bernaillo and Sandoval counties, responded to the fire, which started on private property near the bosque on Sunday, said Tanya Lattin, a fire commander with the Corrales Fire Department.

A neighbor’s landscaping and fencing received minor damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation, she said.

The fire was reported a little after 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Lattin estimated the home owner had more than 25 aged cars on the property, and many of them were destroyed.
