Sports Speak Up! Reader likes Gonzales’ casual media day attire

DANNY GONZALES doesn’t take MWC Media Days too seriously, showing up at the Las Vegas Cosmopolitan looking as though he was headed to a barbeque after the session. Gotta love it. What he does take seriously, however, is that his players refer to him as “coach” and not by his first name. That’s a good thing for coaching authority as maybe he saw the losses pile up for the Lobo basketball team with players referring to Paul Weir as “P Dub.”

THE LAST TIME the U.S. women’s national team was thoroughly outplayed that bad by an opponent was when they got crushed by that 15 year-old boys team.

I GUESS ALEX BREGMAN chickened out with his rehab stint with the Skeeters. He probably didn’t want to get booed by the hometown (pro Dodger) fans for cheating.

THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA is trying to tell us that the Milwaukee Bucks won the 2021 NBA Championship. This can’t be true: The Suns led two games to zero, so therefore the series was over right there as the remaining games shouldn’t have been played. Further the Suns led by 16 after one quarter of Game 5, so that game was over there as the remaining three quarters shouldn’t have been counted towards the final score. … There must be an audit as this is a job for the Cyber Ninjas!

ACCORDING TO ALABAMA head football coach Nick Saban, his team is almost 90% vaccinated in a state where only 42.4% of people over age 18 have been fully vaccinated. Now that’s one competitive advantage as Alabama likely won’t be forfeiting any games. Hopefully the rest of UNM’s football players will see the light, too.
