The Dallas-based company said it had profit of 67 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 68 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 69 cents per share.
The construction contractor posted revenue of $881.6 million in the period.
Primoris Services expects full-year earnings to be $2.30 to $2.50 per share.
Primoris Services shares have increased nearly 10% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $30.28, a climb of 80% in the last 12 months.
