Rank: No. 5, midsize workplace category.

Description: Edward Jones, a privately owned financial services firm, employs 174 people at its New Mexico locations. The firm’s financial advisors work directly with clients to understand what is important to them — from college savings to retirement — then create personalized investment strategies to help them meet their goals and partner with them for the long-term to help them stay on track. The company has been ranked among New Mexico’s Top Workplaces nine times.

From the Organization: “We are partnership centered,” company leaders wrote. “Owners have a different attitude than employees. As a firm owned by associates, we are all in this together. There are no competing interests because everyone puts clients first. Veterans train and mentor less-experienced financial advisors to open new branches nearby. As partners, we know that is good for all of us.”

From the Employees: “I can positively impact clients’ lives,” one employee wrote. “I love the Jones culture that promotes quality characteristics: i.e. ethics, care, teamwork (and) doing what is right.”

Albuquerque Journal and its reporters are committed to telling the stories of our community.
