Battery store opens in Carlsbad

Batteries Plus, at 1302 S. Canal St. in Carlsbad, opened in late August, according to a spokeswoman for the company.

The new Carlsbad location of the national store specializes in batteries, light bulbs, key fob and phone repairs.

In addition to retail sales, the franchise provides customers with free car battery testing and installations, and help to keep customers’ batteries operating efficiently.

“Batteries Plus of Carlsbad will meet the need for those that need immediate repair for devices, quality products in-stock and same-day services,” owner and operator Mike Harrington said in a statement announcing the opening.

Batteries Plus is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
