Person critically injured in SE ABQ shooting

Albuquerque police investigate after a person was critically injured in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Southeast Albuquerque. (Roberto E. Rosales/Albuquerque Journal)
A person was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being shot Wednesday afternoon in Southeast Albuquerque.

Gilbert Gallegos, an Albuquerque police spokesman, said the shooting happened around 4 p.m. near Kentucky and Bell SE.

“The victim was critically injured and has been transported to the hospital,” he said.
