Albuquerque police Wednesday evening were investigating two crashes, including one that left a pedestrian dead on East Central.
Daren DeAguero, a police spokesman, said the fatal crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian occurred some time before 6:30 p.m. at Central and Pennsylvania.
He said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The intersection was closed as police investigated.
The second crash happened some time before 8:15 p.m. on the West Side.
DeAguero said a motorcycle and vehicle were involved in the crash at Coors and Fortuna NW.
“The motorcyclist had a passenger with him,” he said in a news release. “Both have been transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition.”
Northbound Coors was shut as police investigated.
