Shooting in Southeast Albuquerque leaves 1 dead

One person was shot to death in the International District over the weekend, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Trumbull and Dallas SE in response to reports of a shooting, said APD spokesman Chase Jewell in an email early Sunday morning.

The officers found one individual “who had succumbed to gunshot wounds on scene,” Jewell said.

The APD Homicide Unit was called out to investigate.
