ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Walt Longmire and crew ended the season with a ratings win.
The crime drama, which is filmed at Garson Studios in Santa Fe, wrapped its second season on Monday night with some record ratings.
According to Nielsen ratings, averaged 4.2 million viewers with its finale. The ratings easily make the hour-long drama the most-watched scripted show to date for the A&E cable network.
“Longmire” is second in ratings only to reality show juggernaut “Duck Dynasty.”
The series is based off of the “Walt Longmire” mystery novels by Craig Johnson. The show stars Robert Taylor as Walt Longmire. It also stars Lou Diamond Phillips, Katee Sackhoff, Bailey Chase and Adam Bartley.
Production is based in Santa Fe and films on location in northern New Mexico, which doubles for Wyoming.
