New Mexico State Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday on U.S. Highway 64 between Farmington and Shiprock, according to a State Police news release.
“The initial investigation indicated that for unknown reasons, Ramon Natividad-Garcia, 40, of Bloomfield was crossing the westbound lanes of U.S. 64. He was struck by a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by a 51-year-old male,” the release says. “He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased by the Office of the Medical Investigator.”
Police said the Mitsubishi’s driver and passenger did not suffer injuries.
