ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The FBI and Taos Pueblo Department of Public Safety are investigating an officer-related shooting that occurred around 8 a.m. Wednesday on Taos Pueblo, The Taos News reported.
A Taos Pueblo police officer fired several shots at a van that was reported stolen from a U.S. Postal Service contractor around 7:30 a.m. at a gas station in Espanola, according to an FBI news release.
No one was injured in the incident, the FBI said.
Taos Pueblo officers said the vehicle ran a barrier on Upper Rio Lucero Road and sideswiped a police vehicle before going into a ditch, The News said.
The van’s driver is in custody, the paper reported.
Police have not released the name of the driver or the officer.
