It’s a pizzeria and wine bar, sure, but the sandwiches and salads here are top-notch.
Sandwiches come on herb-dusted, house-made bread that is similar to focaccia, and the roast beef and turkey are roasted daily at the restaurant. The turkey sandwich ($6.50 for half, $9.75 for whole) comes with Hatch green chile, melted cheddar cheese and garlic mayo with lettuce and tomato on the side. This is real turkey, not the deli stuff. The same goes for the beef, which comes with caramelized onions, roasted peppers, provolone cheese and horseradish sauce.
Sandwiches come with a choice of sides – spring mix salad, kettle chips or fresh pasta salad.
The Caesar salad ($10.50) comes with grilled chicken on top. It has lots of crisp romaine lettuce, baked crostini with herbs and cheese and a chicken breast dusted with Parmesan that was exceptionally tender.
