United knows its opponent, and date, for 2023 home opener

New Mexico United’s home opener for the 2023 season will be April 15 against San Diego Loyal at Isotopes Park.

The USL Championship released home openers for all of its teams Wednesday with full schedules set to be announced Monday.

With initial home openers scheduled for March 11, United’s first home match will be the second-latest in the USLC this season. New Mexico will open on the road, likely with multiple contests, before it plays at home.

United led the league in home attendance last season averaging 10,724 fans per game.
