A South Valley couple and their 18-year-old daughter are accused of shooting at a food delivery driver outside their home Saturday.
Lawrence Mora, 48, was charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, shooting at a motor vehicle and resisting an officer. Christina Cervantes, 48, and Jaylene Mora were each charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, tampering with evidence and shooting at a motor vehicle. All three have been booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center.
Deputies with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 2600 block of Halcon SW around 5:30 p.m. in reference to a shooting, according to a criminal complaint filed in Metropolitan Court.
Arriving deputies spoke with a DoorDash delivery driver who said she was trying to deliver an order to an address on the same street but was having trouble locating it. She said two women with guns – identified in the complaint as Jaylene and Cervantes as well as a man identified as Lawrence – came out of their home, yelling at her to go away.

As she tried to explain she was a DoorDash driver, they opened fire at her car, causing her to drive away from the scene, the complaint states. She told deputies she heard at least eight gunshots. She was unharmed and her car was not struck.
When officers arrived, the three of them had barricaded themselves in their home. They eventually came out and were detained by deputies. All three family members matched the descriptions given by the DoorDash driver, according to the complaint.
Jaylene later told deputies there was a black car driving up and down the street that had been following her father, so she confronted the female driver verbally, the complaint states. She denied having shot at the car.
Lawrence initially told deputies he didn’t know anything about a black car following him, but later changed his mind when he was told his daughter said that.
Deputies found two handguns inside a Dodge Charger parked at the property and an airsoft rifle inside the house, according to the complaint. Multiple spent gun casings were found on the ground outside the house.
