Woman found dead at Albuquerque’s Highland Park

Police are investigating after a woman was found dead Thursday at Highland Park.

Gilbert Gallegos, a police spokesman, said officers were called to just before noon Thursday to the park, near the 800 block of Silver SE, where a person was unconscious and didn’t appear to be breathing.

Investigators determined the woman was dead.

There were no obvious signs of trauma, Gallegos said. But Albuquerque police Homicide Unit and Major Crime Scene Team still responded to launch an investigation.

No other details about the case were immediately available.
