JUST WATCHED another abysmal performance by the Lady Lobo basketball team, this time against San Diego State. I’ve watched this team play more than a few times this season; they seem uninspired and just going through the motions. Last season’s team seemed to play loose, having fun, smiling. Hard to believe that (Jaedyn) De La Cerda and (Antonia) Anderson disguised so many of the Duff sisters’ weaknesses. Or maybe they are all just tired of Bradbury’s constant screaming.

THE UNM WOMEN’s basketball team (played) an 11 a.m. PST/ noon MST game vs. San Diego State. This is apparently a big game for the Aztecs with a few thousand screaming school kids in the building, bolstering SDSU’s attendance. But maybe the MWC and SDSU administrators can explain why UNM is the annual opponent for this weekday folly?

I IMAGINE YOU’RE getting a lot of mail on the all-access game. I didn’t like it one bit and quickly turned the volume way down (watching in total silence is no fun). I read this morning that Coach Pitino didn’t like it, either, so I hope that will put an end to that. I enjoy (Geoff Grammer’s) columns very much.
