In September, the second season of “Bands of Enchantment” set up in the Albuquerque Rail Yards to film.

At 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, the KiMo Theatre will host the red carpet premiere of the second season.

The Emmy nominated series, “Bands of Enchantment,” brought artists from across the world to perform at the Albuquerque Rail Yards. The season showcases some of music’s up-and-coming performers, as well as the Downtown area.

According to series creator Ken C. Peterson, the premiere will include one episode featuring Albuquerque’s own Red Light Cameras and a second surprise episode.

Tickets are free but should be reserved at holdmyticket.com.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the screening begins at 7 p.m.

Safe House Distilling Co. and other local vendors will be on site offering drinks and food for purchase.

“Bands of Enchantment” is an international music television show celebrating rock, indie, country, hip-hop, and folk on the backdrop of New Mexico – the land of Enchantment.

Peterson said the mission of the series is to celebrate music, diversity, and New Mexico. Join us as bands from all across the world descend on Albuquerque.

“Albuquerque continues to have a vibrant live music scene,” said Shelle Sanchez, director of the Department of Arts & Culture. ” ‘Bands of Enchantment Albuquerque Sessions’ showcases a great mix of our very own local talent with many iconic Albuquerque venues serving as the backdrop for this international TV show.”

Season one of “Bands of Enchantment” can be streamed on pbs.org. The second season is set to premiere on Feb. 4.
