APS announced early Tuesday that all East Mountain schools are closed due to inclement weather.

The closures affect the following schools:

  • Roosevelt Middle School
  • Manzano High School – students living in the East Mountains

East Mountain communities remain under a storm warning Monday night into Tuesday, with expected snow accumulations of 4-8 inches, the higher amounts being south of Interstate 40 and along the eastern slopes of the Manzano Mountains.

Meteorologist Clay Anderson with the Albuquerque office of the National Weather Service, said not much snow, if any, is expected in Albuquerque.
