Temperatures in the Duke City reached 63 degrees on Sunday, said Jennifer Shoemake, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Albuquerque. That was the warmest temperature in the city since Nov. 9.
The record high for the day was set back in 1918 at 72 degrees, she said.
The warm weather isn’t expected to stay. Shoemake said a storm is expected to move across the state early this week. Temperatures are expected to be below normal by Tuesday.
